1. Introduction and scope
Hot Muses ("HMU", "we", "us", "our") is an 18+ AI-companion service operated by Romantic Lines LP. Our service provides text-based and media-based fantasy roleplay with fictional AI personas. All personas are AI-generated; no real performers are involved (see ai-content-statement.md).
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the conduct and content rules that apply to every person who accesses or uses HMU, regardless of subscription tier (Free Trial, Starter, Plus, Premium, VIP) or method of access. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any HMU feature, you agree to comply with this AUP.
This AUP supplements and forms part of our Terms of Service. It should be read together with our Community Guidelines, Age Verification Policy, Self-Harm Resources Policy, and Privacy Policy. Where this AUP conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail.
We may enforce this AUP through automated systems, human review, or both. Enforcement decisions are made at our discretion in accordance with Section 4 (Enforcement) and Section 5 (Appeals).
2. You must not
The following conduct is prohibited on HMU. The list is non-exhaustive; we may treat any conduct that violates the spirit of these rules as a breach.
Minor-coded sexual content. You must not generate, request, attempt to generate, share, upload, store, or solicit any sexual or sexually suggestive content involving any character, persona, image, or depiction that is or appears to be under 18 years old. This rule applies regardless of any in-fiction age statement, asserted age, fantasy framing, "aged-up" claim, or roleplay context. Specifically prohibited cues include but are not limited to: age-regression scenarios; "teen", "schoolgirl", "schoolboy", "loli", "shota", "underage", "young-looking", "petite child", "barely legal" framed as minor, "first time" framed as childhood, and any character described or depicted with attributes typical of minors (school uniform contexts that sexualize a school-aged character, child-coded body proportions, pre-pubescent markers, etc.). Suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is reported to NCMEC (United States), the Internet Watch Foundation (United Kingdom), and equivalent authorities in other jurisdictions, in addition to immediate account termination.
Real, identifiable persons in sexual scenarios. You must not generate, attempt to generate, or request sexual or sexually suggestive content depicting any real, identifiable person — including celebrities, politicians, athletes, content creators, private individuals, classmates, co-workers, ex-partners, or anyone else — without that person's documented, verifiable consent. HMU's position is that we will not facilitate this category of content even where consent is claimed, because consent is not practically verifiable at the speed and scale of generative output. Attempts to name, describe, or otherwise direct the model toward a real person (by full name, stage name, distinctive nickname, or unmistakable description) for sexual content are a breach of this AUP.
No face-swap, no likeness uploads. HMU does not accept user-uploaded photographs of any person. You must not attempt to upload, submit, paste, or otherwise transmit to HMU any photograph, scan, or other image of any human face or body — your own or another person's — for the purpose of face-swap, likeness generation, deepfake creation, or any other manipulation. The service does not offer this feature and the prohibition is absolute. Any attempt to abuse the platform, our prompt interface, or any chat surface for this purpose — including attempts via prompt injection or social-engineering of personas — is a serious breach and will result in immediate account termination. This rule is informed by the November 2025 breach reporting on Secret Desires AI (404 Media) and reflects our deliberate product design choice not to operate a face-upload pipeline.
Non-consensual scenarios presented as desirable. You must not generate or request content that depicts non-consensual sexual acts in a manner that frames the non-consent itself as desirable, instructional, or normalised. Clearly-fictional roleplay between consenting adult AI characters using power-exchange or resistance tropes is permitted within the limits of platform safety controls, provided the roleplay does not depict minors, real people, or any other category prohibited by this AUP. The boundary between permitted fantasy roleplay and prohibited normalisation of sexual violence is intentionally narrow and is subject to operator discretion; counsel and Trust & Safety leadership will refine this line in writing as the platform matures.
Per-jurisdiction prohibited categories. You must not generate, request, or share content depicting bestiality (sexual acts with animals); necrophilia (sexual acts with corpses); incest, where the parties are depicted as related by blood or marriage; or any other category of sexual content that is unlawful in the operator's seat of incorporation (
[GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION]) or in any major market jurisdiction in which HMU is reasonably accessible (currently United States including all states; United Kingdom; European Union member states; Australia; Brazil). Where jurisdictions differ, the strictest applicable rule governs. No use of personas as if they were real people. You must not use AI persona output, screenshots, or chat logs to defraud, harass, impersonate, blackmail, extort, or otherwise deceive any third party. You must not present persona output as the words or actions of a real, named individual. You must not use HMU output as evidence of statements made by any real person.
No harassment, hate, or threats. You must not use HMU — including chat, prompts, support tickets, appeals, or any other surface — to harass, threaten, dox, defame, or incite violence against any individual or protected group. Protected characteristics include race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, and age. Hate speech directed at any such group is prohibited regardless of whether it is framed as fiction, persona output, or your own commentary.
No prompt-extraction, jailbreak, or competitive training. You must not attempt to extract, copy, or expose system prompts, safety instructions, or any other internal configuration of HMU or its underlying models. You must not jailbreak or attempt to disable safety features, persona guardrails, or content filters. You must not use HMU output to train, fine-tune, benchmark, evaluate, or otherwise improve any competing AI model, chatbot, character platform, or related product without our prior written consent.
No automation, scraping, or rate abuse. You must not access HMU using bots, scrapers, headless browsers, automation frameworks, or any other automated means beyond a normal human use rate. You must not run concurrent sessions designed to maximise free-tier credit consumption. You must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except through a formal responsible-disclosure channel where one is offered.
No reselling. You must not resell, sublicense, transfer, gift-for-value, or share account credentials, subscription access, credits, unlocked media, or any other HMU output. Credits are non-transferable. Account access is non-transferable. Bulk acquisition of accounts is prohibited.
Jurisdictional eligibility. You must not use HMU from any jurisdiction in which adult content services are prohibited by local law. This includes (without limitation) the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, and any other country, region, or territory in which the provision or consumption of sexually explicit material is unlawful. It is your responsibility to know whether use of HMU is lawful where you are. Use of VPNs, proxies, or geolocation tools to circumvent regional access controls is itself a breach of this AUP.
No use by minors. Without prejudice to our Age Verification Policy, any access to the service by a person under 18 years of age (or the higher age of majority for adult content in the applicable jurisdiction) is a breach of this AUP. Adults must not provide HMU access or credentials to minors.
3. Reporting violations
If you encounter content or conduct on HMU that you believe violates this AUP, report it to us:
- Email:
[email protected] - Suspected CSAM: mark the email subject line with
CSAMfor priority routing; we will report to NCMEC and IWF as required by law
Response tiers and target SLAs (calendar days; targets, not contractual commitments):
| Tier | Examples | Acknowledgement | Initial review |
|---|---|---|---|
| P0 | Suspected CSAM; credible imminent threat to life | within 1 hour | within 24 hours |
| P1 | Real-person sexual content; doxxing; severe harassment | within 24 hours | within 3 days |
| P2 | Other AUP breaches | within 3 days | within 14 days |
We will not disclose the identity of a reporter to the reported user, except as required by law or legal process.
4. Enforcement
Where we find a breach of this AUP, we may take any one or more of the following actions, at our discretion, proportionate to the severity, recurrence, and circumstances of the breach:
- Informal warning — notice in-product or by email, with no immediate restriction.
- Content removal — deletion of the offending prompts, messages, conversations, or generated media. Removed media remains accounted for against any consumed credits or quota; refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
- Feature restriction — temporary suspension of specific features (e.g., media generation) while preserving chat access.
- Account suspension — temporary lock-out, typically 7 to 30 days.
- Account termination — permanent closure with forfeiture of any remaining credits or subscription term. Termination is the default response for: any minor-coded sexual content; any face-upload attempt; suspected CSAM (where we additionally report to NCMEC/IWF/equivalents); credible threats to life; payment fraud.
- Referral to law enforcement — where conduct may be criminal, we will cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement in
[GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION]and other competent authorities.
We are not obliged to apply enforcement steps in order. Severe breaches may result in immediate termination without prior warning.
5. Appeals
If you believe we have taken enforcement action against you in error, you may appeal:
- Email:
[email protected] - Include: the affected account email, the date and nature of the action, and a clear explanation of why you believe the action was incorrect.
- Response target: 14 calendar days from receipt.
- Reviewer:appeals are reviewed by a Trust & Safety lead who was not involved in the original decision, wherever staffing permits.
Appeal outcomes may be: reinstatement, partial reinstatement, action upheld, or escalation for further review. Appeals are not available for terminations involving suspected CSAM or content reported to law enforcement; in those cases, contact the relevant authority.
6. Modification
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in the service, in our underlying models and vendors, in applicable law, or in our risk posture. Where changes are material — for example, where we add a new prohibited category, change enforcement defaults, or change the reporting or appeals process — we will notify registered users by email and post a notice in-product not less than 7 days before the changes take effect, except where immediate change is required by law or to protect safety. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this document.
